How it works and how to install it
The stainless steel capillary is inserted into the temperature measurement area of the oven, and the thermal mechanism opens or closes the electrical contact when the temperature reaches the threshold set by the rotary knob. Installation is done by connecting the 3 terminals to the electrical circuit of the appliance and fixing the thermostat body into the control panel. The 75mm long and 6mm diameter capillaries easily fit into standard openings of professional ovens. Adjustment is performed by simply rotating the knob to the desired temperature, visible on the graduated scale.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
