How it works and how to install it
The thermostat regulates temperature by automatically opening and closing the electrical circuit. When the set temperature is reached, the brass contacts separate and interrupt the current. When cooled, the mechanism resumes power. Installation involves disconnecting the appliance from the mains, dismounting the old thermostat, and connecting the 6.3mm terminals to the new component. No special tools are required, only a screwdriver and pliers.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
