How it works and how to install it
The thermostat operates on the principle of a gas capillary that reacts to temperature variations, opening or closing the compressor's electrical circuit. Installation requires disconnecting the appliance from the mains, removing the old thermostat, positioning the capillary at the measurement point in the evaporator, and connecting the wires according to the refrigerator-freezer manufacturer's diagram. The operation takes approximately 20-30 minutes and requires attention to correctly fixing the capillary for accurate temperature readings.
Frequently asked questions
Is the thermostat compatible with any refrigerator-freezer model?
The K59/VT9 model is an industry standard compatible with most refrigerator-freezers, but please check the mounting dimensions and electrical connection type in your appliance's manual before purchasing.
Can I install the thermostat myself or do I need a technician?
If you have minimal experience in home repairs and follow electrical safety instructions, you can perform the replacement yourself. It is essential to disconnect the appliance from the mains and correctly position the capillary.
