The boiler thermostat with rod is a universal spare part for controlling water temperature in electric water heaters. It is inserted directly into the heating element's sheath and automatically interrupts the circuit when the water reaches the set temperature. How it works and how to install
The brass rod of the thermostat is inserted into the heating element's sheath of the boiler, where it directly measures the water temperature. When the water reaches the temperature set by the potentiometer, the electrical contact opens and the heating element stops. Replacing a faulty thermostat involves partially draining the boiler, disconnecting existing electrical connections, and connecting the new thermostat using the included terminals — an operation that can be performed by anyone with basic electrical knowledge.

Is this thermostat compatible with my electric boiler?
The TAS-type rod thermostat is compatible with most electric domestic hot water boilers on the market. Check that the heating element sheath size allows the rod to be inserted and that the connector type (6.3 mm spade terminals) matches.
What temperature should I set the thermostat for normal consumption?
For ordinary household use, a setting between 55°C and 65°C is recommended — sufficient for domestic hot water and energy efficient.
What does the 83°C safety temperature mean and when does it activate?
If the main thermostat fails to stop heating, the 83°C safety thermal protection interrupts the circuit to prevent damage to the boiler or installation.
