The HA12 photovoltaic protection panel ensures complete electrical safety for solar installations with two strings, at a maximum voltage of 1000V DC. How it works and how to install it
The HA12 panel is mounted on a wall or the metal structure of the photovoltaic installation using the included mounting elements — the ABS enclosure with a transparent cover allows for visual inspection of component status without opening the panel. Cables from the two strings of panels connect via MC4 connectors marked IN 1 and IN 2 (DC+ and DC-), and the output to the inverter connects via the OUT connectors. All internal components are pre-configured and factory-wired, so installation is limited to connecting external cables and securing the enclosure — no additional internal assembly is required.

Yes, the enclosure has an IP65 protection rating, meaning it is waterproof against water jets and dust, making it suitable for permanent outdoor mounting.
Is it compatible with any type of solar inverter?
The HA12 panel is a DC protection device, placed between the panels and the inverter, and is compatible with any inverter that accepts DC input up to 1000V and current up to 32A.
What happens if one of the strings has a fault — does the entire installation shut down?
No. Each string has its own fuse, so an isolated fault on one circuit is stopped independently, and the other string continues to operate normally.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction.
