How it works and how to install it
The panel is mounted on the wall or on the panel structure, between the string of photovoltaic panels and the inverter. The DC cables from the panels are connected via the MC4 connectors on the bottom of the box, and the DC output goes to the inverter through the sealed cable glands. All protection components are already assembled and wired internally — installation is limited to connecting the input and output cables, without interventions inside the panel. It is recommended that the work be carried out by a certified electrician.

Can I mount the panel outdoors, on the roof or on a wall exposed to rain?
Yes, the enclosure has IP65 protection, which means it is sealed against water jets and dust, and is designed for outdoor installation.
What happens if a panel is struck by lightning — does the panel protect the inverter?
The included DALBI LD-40 surge arresters absorb voltage spikes caused by atmospheric discharges or switching, protecting the inverter and other equipment in the installation.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
