How it works and how to install
The power supply converts 220V AC mains power into stabilized 24V DC current, required for LED strips and modules. Connect the black 3-wire cable to a socket or electrical panel, then the white 2-wire cable to the LED system — observing the plus and minus polarity marked on the label. Secure the casing with screws through the mounting holes at the ends, ensuring the cable connection remains watertight.
Due to its IP67 rating, the power supply withstands direct splashing with water, rain, or snow, but should not be fully submerged. Ideal for mounting under eaves, in outdoor distribution boxes, or integrated into aluminum profiles for facade LED strips.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much LED strip can I connect to this power supply?
Up to 200W total. For example, you can power approximately 16 meters of 12W/m LED strip or 10 meters of 20W/m strip. Check the consumption per meter of your strip and divide 200W by that value.
Can I install the power supply directly in rain or under a water jet?
Yes, IP67 protection allows outdoor mounting with direct exposure to rain, snow, or splashing. However, complete submersion in water is not recommended — only temporary resistance to accidental submersion.
Why does the power supply get hot during operation?
This is normal — the metal casing dissipates the heat generated by the conversion. As long as the temperature remains below 75°C and the power supply does not emit odors, it is functioning correctly. Ensure there is space for air circulation around the casing.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction.
