How it works and how to install
The power supply converts 220V AC mains current to 12V DC, which is necessary for LED strips, surveillance cameras, or other lighting devices. You connect the power cable to the socket or electrical panel, and the output cable to the consumers. Thanks to the pre-mounted 20cm cables, installation only requires connecting the wires according to their colors: brown-phase, blue-neutral, yellow-green-ground at the input, red-plus, black-minus at the output. It can be mounted directly outdoors due to its IP68 rating, without a protective enclosure.

Can I mount the power supply directly outside, in the rain?
Yes, IP68 guarantees total water and dust protection. It can even be mounted buried or under eaves without an additional enclosure.
How many meters of LED strip does 150W power?
It depends on the strip type: approximately 12 meters of 12W/meter strip or 30 meters of 5W/meter strip. Check the specific consumption of your strip.
Is it normal for the casing to heat up during operation?
Yes, the aluminum casing acts as a heatsink and heats up moderately, operating stably up to 75°C ambient temperature. This indicates that passive cooling is working correctly.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
