How it works and how to install
The thermal fuse contains a bimetallic or fusible element encapsulated in a metal tube. When the temperature reaches 300°C, the electrical circuit automatically breaks. Installation is done in series with the appliance's heating element: bend the terminals to the required angle, solder them or fix them with connectors, then insulate the contact area. No calibration or adjustments are needed — it works automatically after installation.

Does the fuse reset after activation or does it need to be replaced?
It is a one-time use, fusible type. After tripping, it must be replaced with an identical new fuse.
Can I use this fuse for a 1500W iron?
Yes, at 230V, 1500W means approximately 6.5A, so a 10A fuse is sufficient with a safety margin.
How do I identify if the fuse is blown?
Test with a multimeter on the continuity function — if there is no continuity between the terminals, the fuse has activated and needs to be replaced.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
