How it works and how to install
The thermal fuse works on the principle of automatically interrupting the electrical circuit when the temperature exceeds the 240°C threshold. Installation is simple: after disconnecting the appliance from the mains, replace the old fuse with the new one, observing the original connections and ensuring good contact between the terminals. The metal tube integrates directly into the appliance's thermal circuit, positioned in the area that requires monitoring.
Frequently asked questions
What appliances can I use this thermal fuse for?
It is suitable for irons, electric radiators, toasters, coffee makers, electric kettles, and other household appliances with a heating element that requires 240°C protection.
Is the fuse resettable or does it need to be replaced after tripping?
This is a permanent fusible thermal fuse — after tripping at 240°C, it must be replaced with a new one, as it is not resettable.
How do I know if the thermal fuse in my appliance is faulty?
If the appliance does not heat up at all, even though it receives electrical current, the thermal fuse may be open. Checking with a multimeter in continuity mode confirms whether it is functional or blown.
