How it works and how to install it
The thermal fuse contains a temperature-sensitive element that permanently interrupts the electrical circuit when the temperature exceeds 184°C. It is installed in series with the appliance's heating element by soldering the terminals in the corresponding positions in the circuit. After tripping, the fuse must be replaced with a new one to restore the equipment's functionality.
Frequently asked questions
Does the fuse reset after it has tripped?
No, this is a single-use thermal fuse. After tripping at 184°C, it must be completely replaced.
What appliances can I use this fuse for?
It is suitable for irons, electric radiators, coffee makers, toasters, kettles, and any appliance that requires thermal protection at 184°C.
How do I know if the fuse is faulty?
You can test continuity with a multimeter in ohmmeter mode. If there is no continuity between the terminals, the fuse has tripped and needs to be replaced.
