250V 10A Thermal Fuse for Overheat Protection
The 180°C thermal fuse provides overheat protection for household appliances and industrial equipment. Housed in a durable metal tube, it automatically disconnects the electrical circuit when the temperature exceeds the safety threshold, preventing appliance damage or fire risk. An essential component for repairs and maintenance, compatible with irons, electric heaters, coffee makers, toasters, and other appliances with heating elements.
What you get with this product
- Automatic overheat protection — the fuse trips at 180°C, preventing damage to your appliance
- Universal compatibility — can be installed in irons, electric heaters, coffee makers, toasters, kettles, and other household appliances
- Robust construction in a metal tube — withstands repeated thermal stresses and ensures long operating life
- Simple soldering installation — standard dimensions allow for quick replacement of faulty fuses without circuit modifications
- Certified safety for domestic and professional use — supports up to 10A at 250V AC, in compliance with safety standards
- Available in a set of 100 pieces — ideal for service centers, repair shops, or spare stock
How it works and how to install
The thermal fuse constantly monitors the temperature in the electrical circuit. When it reaches 180°C, the fuse automatically cuts off power, protecting the appliance from overheating. Installation is done by soldering it into the appliance's circuit, replacing the faulty fuse — axial terminals allow for quick mounting on a circuit board or in series with the heating element. It is recommended to unplug the appliance from the mains before any intervention.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if the thermal fuse in my appliance has blown?
If the appliance no longer heats up at all, even if the rest of the circuit is working, the thermal fuse is likely faulty. Testing with a multimeter in continuity mode confirms its status.
Can I install this fuse in any 220V appliance?
Yes, if the appliance requires 180°C protection and consumes a maximum of 10A. Check the original fuse for temperature and rated current before replacement.
Does it reset automatically or does it need to be replaced after tripping?
This fuse is a one-time device — after tripping due to overheating, it must be replaced with a new one. It does not reset automatically.
