How it works and how to install it
The fuse works by means of a metallic filament that automatically melts when the current exceeds 6A, interrupting the electrical circuit and protecting the equipment. To replace it, disconnect the device from the mains, remove the blown fuse from its holder, check the cause of the overload, then insert the new fuse in the same position, observing the polarity of the holder. The transparent tube allows quick visual inspection — a broken filament indicates a blown fuse.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
