How it works and how to install
The fuse is installed in the fuse holder of the electrical appliance, either directly on the electronic board or in an external fuse holder. When the 0.5A threshold is exceeded, the internal filament instantly melts, interrupting the electrical circuit. Replacement is simple: disconnect the appliance from the mains, remove the blown fuse from the holder, and insert a new one. The status is visually checked through the tube — an intact filament means the fuse is functional.
Frequently asked questions
How do I know if the fuse is blown?
The transparent glass tube allows visual inspection. If the internal filament is broken or shows signs of burning, the fuse needs to be replaced.
Can I use these fuses for any 0.5A appliance?
Yes, if the appliance has a 5x20mm fuse holder and requires a 0.5A fuse at 250V. Always check the equipment manufacturer's specifications.
Why does the fuse blow repeatedly?
Repeated blowing indicates a problem in the protected appliance: short circuit, excessive consumption, or a faulty component. It is recommended to have it checked by a qualified technician.
