How it works and how to install
The RJ45 CAT6 connector is mounted by mechanical crimping: the UTP cable is stripped, the wires are arranged according to the T568A or T568B standard, inserted into the 8 channels of the connector, and pressed with a standard RJ45 crimping tool. The process does not require soldering or electrical tools. The transparent body of the connector allows visual verification of the wires before crimping, eliminating most wiring errors.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
