How it works and how to install it
The sensor continuously emits high-frequency electromagnetic waves on the 5.8 GHz band and analyzes the received echoes. When it detects a change in the reflection pattern caused by motion, it activates the lighting according to the programmed settings. Installation requires connection to the 220-240V AC mains, following the provided wiring diagram: L and N wires connect to the power supply, and the load connects to the dedicated terminals. The three potentiometers on the casing allow fine adjustment of the detection distance, delay time, and brightness threshold.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
