How it works and how to install it
The heating element is installed by replacing the worn part in the boiler: turn off the electricity, drain the water from the boiler, unfasten the old flange, clean the contact surface, fix the new heating element on the flange, and reconnect the electrical cables. The bent copper loop immerses in the water and heats it uniformly to the temperature set on the thermostat. The anode holder is fixed on the flange and retains limescale, protecting both the heating element and the inner walls of the boiler. We recommend checking the anode's condition once a year for optimal performance.
Frequently asked questions
Will it fit my boiler if it has a different original power?
Yes, you can install a 2000W heating element in place of a 1500W or 2500W one, but the heating time will change proportionally to the power difference.
Can I install the heating element myself or do I need an electrician?
You can perform the installation yourself if you follow safety measures: complete disconnection from the mains and boiler draining. If you do not have experience with electrical installations, we recommend calling a specialist.
How long does it take for the water to heat up with this heating element?
An 80-liter boiler heats from room temperature to 60 degrees in approximately 2-2.5 hours, depending on the cold water temperature and boiler insulation.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
