How it works and how to install it
The bridge rectifier converts the four half-cycles of alternating current into direct current through the four integrated diodes. The aluminum body efficiently dissipates the generated heat, preventing overheating. Mounting is done by connecting the pins to the power circuit, observing the polarity marked on the casing. For installations with continuous loads above 30A, it is recommended to add an additional heat dissipation surface or forced ventilation.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
