How it works and how to install it
The integrated solar panel charges the battery during the day, and the PIR motion sensor automatically triggers lighting at dusk when it detects presence within its range. The three LED heads are manually oriented before final fixing, so that the light covers exactly the desired area. Installation involves two screws in the wall or ceiling, without cable routing and without the intervention of a certified electrician.
Frequently asked questions
Does it work in winter or on cloudy weather?
Yes, the solar panel charges even in low light conditions. On completely overcast days, autonomy may be lower, but the frost-resistant construction ensures operation at negative temperatures.
How long does it stay on after detecting motion?
The illumination duration after motion detection is adjustable; by default, the projector stays on for a few tens of seconds after the last detected motion, then turns off automatically to conserve energy.
Can I orient the heads laterally and up-down at the same time?
Yes, each head has a double joint: it rotates 170° on the horizontal axis and tilts 120° (side heads) or 90° (center heads) on the vertical axis, offering complete positioning freedom.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
