How it works and how to install it
The board connects to a 12V power source via the two poles marked V+ and V-, present on both the top and bottom of the board, as seen on the circuit. Mounting is done by mechanically attaching the board to a thermal heatsink with thermal paste applied between the surfaces, to prevent overheating at the nominal power of 50W. No additional electronic configuration is required — you connect, fix, and power it.

No specialized driver is required — the board operates directly at 12V DC, so any stabilized 12V power supply with a minimum output of 50W is sufficient.
Is a thermal heatsink mandatory for operation?

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
