100W COB LED Chip for Floodlights and Spotlights
The 100W COB LED chip is the appropriate replacement component for outdoor or indoor LED floodlights and spotlights that have lost their light source. With a color temperature of 6000K, it emits a clear, cool white light, ideal for functional lighting in workshops, halls, parking lots, or commercial spaces. Powered at 32-34V DC, this COB chip offers a direct and economical solution for repairing a faulty floodlight without replacing the entire fixture.
What you get with this product
- Repair a faulty 100W LED floodlight at a much lower cost than replacing the entire unit
- Cool white light at 6000K — high visibility, suitable for workspaces and security lighting
- COB chip with high diode density — uniform light output, without distinct light spots
- Compact 43x43mm format — fits most standard 100W floodlight housings
- Robust construction on a metal substrate — efficient thermal dissipation when mounted on a suitable heatsink
- Compatible with standard 32-34V LED drivers — no additional circuit adaptations required
How it works and how to install it
The COB LED chip is soldered or mechanically fixed to the floodlight's heatsink, after removing the faulty chip, and connected to the existing driver via its two power terminals. It is essential to apply thermal paste between the chip and the heatsink for proper heat dissipation. The operation requires minimal electronics knowledge and simple tools: a hot air gun or soldering iron, thermal paste, and a multimeter to check the driver's polarity.
Frequently Asked Questions
What voltage should the driver have for this 100W LED chip?
The driver must provide an output voltage of 32-34V DC and a current corresponding to 100W of power. Check the label of the existing driver in your floodlight before ordering.
Can I use this chip without a heatsink?
No. A 100W COB chip generates significant heat, and operation without a heatsink leads to rapid degradation or immediate destruction of the component. Mounting on a heatsink with thermal paste is mandatory.
How do I identify the polarity for connection?
The positive and negative poles are marked on the metal substrate of the chip. If the markings are not clearly visible, use a multimeter in diode test mode to correctly identify the polarity before powering it on.
