20W Warm White COB LED Chip for Floodlights and Spotlights
The 20W COB LED chip with warm white light (3000-3500K) is the ideal component for replacing or building LED floodlights, spotlights, and medium-power lamps. The COB (Chip on Board) format ensures a uniform luminous flux of 2000-2100 lm from a compact 43x43 mm source. It is the right choice for electronics technicians and engineers who repair or assemble LED lighting fixtures.
What you get with this product
- Comfortable, warm light of 3000-3500K — suitable for residential areas, workshops, and ambient spaces where cool light would be tiring
- Luminous flux of 2000-2100 lm at only 20W consumed — high efficiency/power ratio for a chip of this size
- Compact COB construction (43x43 mm) — easily integrates into standard projectors or custom builds without major frame modifications
- Stable 32-34V DC power supply voltage — compatible with medium-power LED drivers available on the market
- Quick replacement of the defective chip — extends the lifespan of the projector without needing to purchase an entire new fixture
- General purpose OEM component — usable in industrial, commercial, or DIY lighting applications at a low cost per lumen
How it works and how to install it
The COB LED chip is glued or mechanically fixed to a suitable metal heatsink, and thermal paste must be applied between the chip and the heatsink for heat dissipation — without proper cooling, the lifespan is significantly reduced. Connection is made directly to an LED driver with a 32-34V DC output and current corresponding to the 20W power; it should not be powered directly from the mains. The operation requires basic electronics knowledge — soldering, polarity identification, and the use of an appropriate LED driver.
Frequently Asked Questions
What LED driver is compatible with this 20W chip?
You need an LED driver with a 32-34V DC output voltage and a current of approximately 600-650mA, so that the total power fits within 20W.
Do I need a heatsink for this COB chip?
Yes, a heatsink is mandatory. Without heat dissipation, the chip will degrade quickly; a heatsink sized for at least 20W and the application of thermal paste are recommended.
Can it replace the chip in an existing 20W LED floodlight?
Generally yes, if the physical dimensions (43x43 mm) and the existing driver's voltage (32-34V) match; always check the floodlight's specifications before replacement.
