How it works and how to install it
Insert the probes into the corresponding terminals, turn the selector to the desired position (AC/DC voltage, amperage, ohms, frequency, or diode test), then touch the measurement points with the probe tips. The value instantly appears on the LCD display. The HOLD button freezes the last reading for noting. It operates with a standard 9V battery, included in the package. No installation or configuration is required — you power it on and measure immediately.
Frequently asked questions
Can I measure the voltage from my home's outlet with it?
Yes, it measures AC voltage up to 500V AC, so it works perfectly for household 230V outlets and electrical panels.
Is it safe for a beginner, or do I risk getting an electric shock?
The multimeter has overload protection and an insulated casing. By following basic instructions (do not touch the metal parts of the probes while measuring), you can use it safely even without experience.
How do I know if the battery is discharged?
A visual low battery indicator appears on the display before the device shuts down, giving you time to replace the 9V battery.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
