How it works and how to install
The F-connector is installed by screwing it onto the prepared end of the RG6U coaxial cable: strip the outer insulation, fold back the metal braid, insert the cable into the connector, and screw it on until firmly secured. The process takes less than a minute per connector and does not require special tools or advanced technical knowledge. The hexagonal thread allows for additional tightening with a wrench later, if the installation requires it.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this connector compatible with standard RG6 satellite cable?
Yes, the connector is specifically designed for RG6U coaxial cable, commonly used in antenna and satellite installations.
Can I use these connectors outdoors, where they are exposed to rain?
The green sealing gasket reduces moisture penetration into the connection, making it suitable for semi-outdoor mounting, but additional covering is recommended for prolonged direct exposure.
Do I need special pliers to install the connector?
No, the screw-on F-type connector can be installed manually without tools, unlike crimp-type connectors which require dedicated pliers.
