How it works and how to install
The 3-pin female Cannon connector is mounted on the audio signal cable by disassembling the four components: the rubber boot and fastening nut are threaded onto the cable before soldering, after which the three pins are soldered to the cable wires according to the standard XLR scheme (pin 1 ground, pin 2 positive signal, pin 3 negative signal). After the solder cools, the metal body is screwed on and tightened, and the boot is brought into its final position to protect the cable's exit area. No special tools are required other than a soldering iron and a small screwdriver.

This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction.
