How it works and how to install it
The limit switch is mounted in the position where you want the mechanism to stop automatically. When the moving element (door, gate, platform) presses the metal roller, the electrical contact is interrupted, stopping the motor or actuation system. Installation is done by inserting the 3 pins into the corresponding port of the control board or by direct connection to the electrical circuit. Positioning is easily adjusted to obtain the exact desired stop point.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction.
