Industrial Limit Switch IP65 for Automation and Machinery
This CSA-012 roller and button limit switch ensures precise position control in industrial automation, gates, garage doors, and machine tools. Built with a metal casing and IP65 protection, it withstands harsh conditions and offers over 10 million mechanical operating cycles. Easy to install via two mounting holes, it integrates quickly into new or existing systems.
What you get with this product
- Long-term reliability — tested for 10 million mechanical operations and 500,000 with electrical load
- IP65 protection against dust and water jets — operates in wet or dusty industrial environments
- Quick installation via two pre-drilled holes — attaches directly to the metal frame without additional adapters
- Consistent triggering precision — movement differential under 1.2 mm for exact position control
- Extended compatibility — switches loads up to 10A AC for motors, sockets, or control circuits
- Shock and wear-resistant construction — metal casing withstands vibrations and repeated contact in production
How it works and how to install it
The limit switch is activated by mechanical contact: the metal roller moves when it touches a moving object, actuating the internal button which switches the electrical contact. Installation requires fastening with a screwdriver through the two holes, connecting the cables through the included PG11 gland, and adjusting the position until the roller triggers exactly where needed. No special tools or advanced electrical knowledge are required.
Frequently asked questions
Is it suitable for outdoor or only indoor use?
The IP65 protection rating allows it to operate in wet and dusty industrial areas, but for permanent outdoor use, additional protection against UV rays and frost below -5 degrees Celsius is recommended.
How often does it need to be replaced under normal use?
At 10 million mechanical operations and an average use of 100 cycles per day, the theoretical lifespan exceeds 270 years. In practice, annual inspection and dust cleaning extend the useful life to the maximum.
Can I connect three-phase motors directly to this limit switch?
Not directly — it is designed for controlling single-phase 250V control circuits up to 10A. For three-phase motors, it is used as a sensor that controls an intermediate relay.
