How it works and how to install
The limit switch is mounted on the fixed frame of the equipment or on the wall near the area of action. When the moving part (door, gate, machine tool table) presses the metal lever, the electrical contact instantly opens or closes, stopping or starting the motor. Installation requires only two fixing screws and connecting three electrical wires according to the standard diagram on the housing.
No special tools are needed — a screwdriver and a spanner are sufficient. The correct positioning of the limit switch should be checked by manual testing before commissioning the automation system.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can it be used outdoors for an automatic gate?
Yes, but we recommend mounting it in an IP65 protection box to prevent water and dust ingress, as the limit switch itself does not have a declared IP rating.
How much does the lever need to be pressed to activate?
The action is instantaneous with a light press of approximately 2-3 mm. The lever with a return spring automatically returns to its initial position after release.
Does it work with 220V systems for household use?
Yes, it is designed precisely for the standard 230V AC voltage in Romanian electrical networks and supports a continuous current of 10A.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction.
