How it works and how to install it
The limit switch is fixed to the rigid frame with screws through the holes in the body, and the 75mm long rod is positioned in the path of the moving element (door, trolley, arm). When the moving element presses the rod, the electrical contact instantly opens or closes, stopping the motor or changing the direction of movement. It is connected in series with the power source or motor contactor, respecting the electrical diagram of the application. No special tools are required — just a screwdriver and an electrical connector.

Can it be used outdoors, for automatic gates?
Yes, but it requires additional protection against direct moisture — the housing is not IP sealed, we recommend mounting it under a cover or in a protective box.
How much does the rod need to be pressed to switch the contact?
The contact is instant, it activates at the first touch of the rod — the actuation travel is approximately 3-5mm, without requiring much force.
Does it also work with 220V single-phase motors?
Yes, it is compatible with 220-250V AC circuits, maximum 10A — suitable for small motors, electromagnets, and standard automation systems.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
