How it works and how to install
The COB LED chip is powered by 36V DC via a compatible 50W LED driver, connected to the two marked contacts in the corners of the aluminum plate. Mounting on an appropriate heatsink is mandatory, with thermal paste applied between the chip and the heatsink surface, to prevent overheating. Installation is accessible to any electrician or lighting fixture builder with basic knowledge of LED electronics.

Which LED driver is compatible with this 50W chip?
An LED driver with a 36V DC output and a current of 1200mA (1.2A) is required. Choose a driver with a nominal power of at least 50W for stable operation.
Can it be used without a heatsink?
No. This chip reaches high temperatures during operation and absolutely requires mounting on a heatsink with thermal paste — lack of cooling will irreversibly damage the chip in a short time.
Is the color temperature also available in warm white?
The described variant is cool white, 6000-6500K. Check the other available options in the store for different color temperatures.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction.
