2W Red COB LED Chip for Projects and Custom Lighting
The 58x13mm red COB LED chip with 6 segments is a compact light source suitable for DIY projects, advertising panels, ambient lighting, automotive applications, or illuminated displays. With a power of 2W at 12V DC and a luminous flux of 60lm, this COB module provides intense and uniform red light in an easy-to-integrate format. The package includes 10 pieces, ideal for small quantity orders or projects requiring multiple light points.
What you get with this product
- Uniform red light without visible spots — COB technology with 6 segments injected into a single chip ensures homogeneous emission across the entire active surface of 39x8mm
- Low energy consumption — 2W at 12V DC means minimal operating costs even in installations with multiple modules
- Compact and versatile format — 58x13mm dimensions allow integration into narrow spaces: automobiles, light boxes, custom electronic projects
- Aluminum support included — heat dissipation is directly ensured by the aluminum bar on which the chip is mounted, extending the LED's lifespan
- Pack of 10 pieces — advantageous price per unit, sufficient stock for medium-sized projects or series testing
- Wide illumination angle — under 120 degrees, good coverage without additional optics in most signaling or ambient applications
How it works and how to install it
The COB LED chip is powered directly by 12V DC via a suitable transformer or power supply — a power supply with a nominal power 30-40% higher than the module's consumption is recommended for stable and safe operation. Mounting is done by mechanical fastening of the aluminum bar to the cooling surface; for optimal thermal transfer, it is recommended to apply a thin layer of thermal paste between the bar and the support before fixing. The electrical connection is made directly to the soldering pads on the board, without an additional connector.
Frequently Asked Questions
What power supply should I use for this COB LED chip?
A 12V DC power supply with a current of at least 0.17A per module is required. If you power multiple modules simultaneously, choose a power supply sized 30-40% above the total calculated consumption.
Does it need a heatsink or additional cooling?
The aluminum bar on which the chip is mounted provides basic heat dissipation. For long-term operation, it is recommended to mount it on a metal surface with thermal paste to avoid overheating.
Does the package contain 1 piece or 10 pieces?
The standard package contains 10 pieces of 58x13mm red COB LED chips, delivered together.
