How it works and how to install it
The lamp is powered by 3 AAA batteries installed in the compartment on the back of the device, accessible without tools. The PIR sensor integrated in the center of the COB chip detects motion within its range and turns on the light automatically, turning it off after a few seconds of inactivity. Installation is done using double-sided adhesive tape or by direct mechanical attachment to the desired surface — wall, shelf, cabinet ceiling — without any cables and without intervention in the electrical system.

Does it also work during the day or only activate in the dark?
The PIR sensor reacts to motion regardless of ambient light, so it can also turn on during the day. For exclusive nighttime use, it is recommended to install it in an area with low natural light.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
