How it works and how to install
The flange mounts to the electric boiler's tank and holds the heating element in position, also providing a seal with the rubber gasket. Turn off the water, drain the boiler, remove the screws of the old flange, clean the seat, place the new gasket, secure the new flange with the 5 star-patterned screws, and reconnect the heating element. Check for leaks upon refilling. All this without special tools, just a socket wrench and a screwdriver.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction.
