The LA1-DN11 auxiliary contact extends the functionality of LC1D and LP1D series magnetic contactors, enabling control and signaling of secondary circuits. The 1NO/1NC configuration offers maximum flexibility in industrial automation and professional electrical installations. Compatible with over 18 contactor models, it mounts laterally in seconds without special tools.

How it works and how to install it
The auxiliary contact is fixed laterally to the body of the magnetic contactor via a quick mechanical fastening system. The NO and NC contacts switch synchronously with the main contactor coil, allowing control of signal lamps, time relays, or interlocking circuits. Connections are made via screw terminals marked 53NO, 61NC, 54NO, 62NC according to the standard scheme. It does not require separate power supply and can be added or removed at any time without affecting the operation of the main contactor.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I mount the auxiliary contact on a contactor already installed in the panel?
Yes, the contact clips on laterally without needing to disconnect or remove the contactor from the DIN rail. The operation takes less than a minute.
What does the 1NO/1NC configuration mean and how do I use it?
You have a normally open contact that closes when commanded and a normally closed one that opens. You can control an ON status lamp and an OFF status lamp simultaneously from the same auxiliary block.
Does the auxiliary contact also work with LP1D contactors?
Yes, it is compatible with both LC1D and LP1D series from 09 to 50, and the mounting is identical for both ranges.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
