How it works and how to install it
The CAGE CLAMP system works through controlled pressure: you lift the orange lever, insert the stripped wire into the corresponding opening until it reaches the internal stop, then lower the lever — the metal clamp automatically presses the conductor, ensuring a permanent electrical contact. To disconnect, simply lift the lever again and effortlessly remove the wire. No screwdriver, crimping pliers, or other tools are required. Installation in the box is done before fixing the socket or switch, ensuring a clean and professional junction.

Can I use the connector with aluminum wires?
The connector is designed for copper wires. For aluminum, a special connector or anti-oxidation contact paste is required.
Can it be used outdoors or in humid environments?
No, the connector is intended exclusively for indoor installations in standard junction boxes. For outdoor use, IP65 junction boxes and sealed connectors are required.
How much wire needs to be stripped?
Approximately 10-12 mm of clean conductor, enough to reach the bottom of the opening and be fully gripped by the clamp.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
