How it works and how to install it
The cross connector has four input/output ports, each compatible with the end of a 10mm RGB LED strip with a 4-pin plug. Installation is done by simply inserting the strip ends into the connector slots until a locking click is heard, without any tools. The current direction is marked on the casing with arrows, which eliminates the risk of incorrect connection.
Frequently asked questions
Does it also work with white LED strips or only with RGB?
This connector is specifically designed for 4-pin 10mm RGB LED strips. It is not compatible with 8mm monochrome strips or 5-pin RGBW strips.
Do I need to cut the strip at a special point to use the connector?
Yes, the strip must be cut at the cutting mark (solder line) to ensure proper contact on all 4 pins. Cutting at another point may result in poor or no contact.
Can I connect strips of different lengths in the four directions?
Yes, each port is independent, so you can connect strip segments of different lengths in each direction, within the capacity of the power supply used.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
