How it works and how to install it
The capacitor stores electrical energy and releases it at startup to generate the magnetic field required by the motor's rotor. You connect the 4 spade terminals according to the motor's electrical diagram (usually to the starting terminals), secure the capacitor to the support with the included screw, and power the circuit. After the motor starts, the capacitor remains in the circuit for only a few seconds, then disconnects automatically. Installation takes less than 10 minutes and does not require advanced electrical knowledge.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
