How it works and how to install
The capacitor stores electrical energy and releases it instantly when the motor starts, providing the necessary torque to overcome the rotor's inertia. Does it fit a 12000 BTU air conditioner?
Yes, if the original capacitor has 35uF specifications and a voltage between 400-500V AC. Check the label of the old capacitor before ordering.
Why doesn't the motor start after I installed the capacitor?
Make sure the spade terminals are well pressed onto the capacitor terminals and that the polarity follows the electrical diagram. Also check the condition of the motor windings with a multimeter.
How often should the capacitor be replaced?
Under normal use conditions, the service life is 3000-10000 operating hours, depending on the class (C or B). Symptoms of wear: motor starts with difficulty, increased noise, or excessive heating.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
