How it works and how to install it
The clock is configured using the SET, UP, and DOWN buttons on the back in a few minutes according to the included manual. Power is supplied either via the included USB-DC cable connected to a socket via a standard USB adapter, or with 4 AA R6 batteries for portable autonomy. The included CR2032 battery keeps the settings saved even when you disconnect the main power. The display mode can be chosen between two variants: DP-1 displays time, temperature, day, month, and year, while DP-2 displays only time and temperature.
Frequently asked questions
Does the display stay on continuously or does it turn off?
When powered from the mains, the display stays on permanently. On batteries, it is activated by the noise sensor when you tap lightly or make noise nearby, saving energy.
How big is the display and how visible is it in the dark?
The clock measures 21 x 9 x 4.8 cm with large green LEDs, clearly visible even in complete darkness without disturbing sleep with excessive light.
Are the batteries included in the package?
AA batteries for power are not included. The CR2032 battery for memory is included and pre-installed.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
