How it works and how to install it
The clock is powered by the included USB cable connected to any phone charger or directly to a computer, or by 4 classic AA batteries for total mobility. Time, alarm, and temperature settings are made using the 5 buttons on the back, according to the instructions in the manual. The sound sensor automatically activates the display when you gently tap the table or clap your hands, saving energy and avoiding continuous light at night.

Does the display stay on continuously or does it turn off?
You have 3 modes: continuously on, completely off, or automatic activation via the sound sensor. This way you can choose whether you want energy saving or permanent visibility.
Does the backup battery keep settings when the power goes out?
Yes, the included CR2032 battery keeps the time and settings even if you disconnect the main power. You don't have to reconfigure the clock after every power outage.
Can I choose between 12h and 24h format?
Yes, the clock displays the time in both formats, 12h with AM/PM indicator or 24h, a setting that is easily done from the SET button menu.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
