How it works and how to install it
The button is mounted in a 19mm hole by screwing it in with the included M19 thread, without special tools. Connection is made via the 5 pins: 2 pins power the 12V LED, and 3 pins manage the switching contact — you can use the NO configuration (circuit closes when pressed) or NC (circuit remains closed and opens when pressed), depending on your diagram. The color-coded wire harness (white, yellow, red, green, black) is purchased separately and connects directly to the button's pins without soldering.

No, the wire harness is purchased separately. The button is supplied without a cable, but the standard 2.8mm pins are compatible with JST type connectors or universal connectors for 19mm industrial buttons.

What does a momentary button mean and when do I use it?

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
