How it works and how to install it
The 19mm latching push button is mounted in a 19mm hole by screwing it with the included nut — the operation takes a few minutes and does not require specialized tools. The 4 connection pins are separated into 2 pins for LED power and 2 pins for the electrical contact, which allows independent wiring of the light indicator from the control circuit. The contact type (NO or NC) is chosen during connection, depending on your installation logic.

What is the difference between NO and NC contact on this button?
NO (normally open) means the circuit is interrupted at rest and closes upon pressing; NC (normally closed) works in reverse — the circuit is closed at rest and opens upon pressing. The choice is made when connecting the pins.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
