How it works and how to install
The Neon Flex strip contains SMD LEDs encapsulated in a flexible silicone tube that diffuses light evenly, eliminating the dot effect specific to classic LED strips. Installation does not require advanced electrical knowledge: connect the strip to the included power supply, fix it to the desired surface with the clamps or adhesive from the kit, then plug it into a standard 220V outlet. Shaping into forms or letters is done at room temperature, the strip retaining the given shape without the need for heating or additional support.

Can I use this LED neon strip outdoors, in the rain?
IP65 protection allows use in areas exposed to splashes and water jets, but it is not recommended for submersion or installation in places with standing water. For completely uncovered outdoor use long-term, additional protection for connectors is advisable.
Can the strip be cut to a length shorter than 5 meters?
Yes, the Neon Flex strip can be cut at marked intervals, usually every 2 or 5 cm, without affecting the functioning of the remaining portion. The cut end must be sealed with a silicone cap to maintain moisture protection.
Is the included power supply sufficient for the entire 5-meter length?
Yes, the power supply in the set is dimensioned to power the 5 meters of strip at nominal parameters, without overload.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
