How it works and how to install it
The COB LED strip operates at 12V DC, which means it requires a 12V transformer (power supply), purchased separately or together with the strip. Installation is straightforward: clean the surface where it will be applied, peel off the protective film from the 3M adhesive, and stick the strip to the profile or desired surface. The strip can be cut at the indicated marks, at pre-set intervals, to adapt exactly to the required length. No electrical knowledge is needed for installation, and the connection is made via standard connectors compatible with 12V strips.
Frequently asked questions
Does this strip need a separate transformer?
Yes, the strip operates at 12V DC and requires a 12V power supply with a minimum power of 75W for the entire 5-meter roll. The power supply is not included in the package.
Can this COB LED strip be used directly in rain or permanently outdoors?
IP65 protection makes it resistant to water jets and rain, but it is not designed for immersion. It is suitable for covered outdoor areas or those exposed to direct rain, but not for underwater use.
Can this COB LED strip be dimmed?
Yes, the strip is compatible with 12V PWM dimmers, provided that the power supply is also compatible with dimming. Check dimmer compatibility before purchase.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
