How it works and how to install
The strip works directly at 220V, so all you need is an outlet or a power cable — no separate driver or transformer is needed. It is fixed with integrated double-sided adhesive tape or mounting clips, on any flat or slightly curved surface. It can be cut with ordinary scissors at the cutting marks (every 10 cm), and the ends of the cut sections are sealed with protective caps to maintain the IP65 rating.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
