How it works and how to install
The strip connects to a 12V power supply (purchased separately) and is fixed to any clean and dry surface using the double-sided adhesive tape on the back. It can only be cut at the printed cutting marks every 3 LEDs, without damaging the rest of the strip. Installation does not require advanced electrical knowledge — just connect, fix, and power on.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a separate power supply for this LED strip?
Yes, the strip requires a 12V DC power supply, which is not included in the package. For a 5-meter roll with 72W consumption, a power supply of at least 80W is recommended.
Can I use this strip in the bathroom or in the kitchen near the sink?
The strip has IP20 protection, which means it is intended exclusively for dry indoor spaces. It is not recommended in areas with high humidity or exposed to water splashes.
Can the SMD5050 LED strip be cut to a length shorter than 5 meters?
Yes, the strip can be cut in multiples of approximately 5 cm, at the visible cutting marks on the substrate, without affecting the remaining segments.
