Pixel LED signal amplifier for complex installations
The SP901E signal amplifier extends the capacity of any addressable LED strip controller, allowing the simultaneous connection of up to 4 or 8 output channels from a single input signal. It is the ideal solution for architectural, scenic, or decorative lighting projects where a single controller cannot power the entire length of the strip without signal loss. Compatible with all standard SPI TTL protocols, it works at 5V as well as 12V or 24V DC.

How it works and how to install it
The SP901E amplifier receives the data signal from the main controller via the Signal In terminals, regenerates it internally, and simultaneously distributes it to the 4 outputs (Output 1-4), each capable of controlling an independent addressable LED strip with the same synchronized animation. The standard-pitch screw terminals allow quick wire connection without special tools — identify the input, connect the stabilized power to the central VCC/GND, then connect the strips to the outputs. Full installation takes less than 20 minutes for a technician with minimal electronics experience.

Can I use the SP901E with a 12V WS2815 controller and 12V strips?
Yes, the amplifier supports voltages between 5V and 24V DC and is directly compatible with WS2815, including its dual-data protocol.
How many amplifiers can I daisy-chain one after another?
Theoretically, there is no limit imposed by the device — the Signal Out of each SP901E can power the input of the next, provided that the power supply is correctly sized for each strip segment.
Does the amplifier also work with SK6812 RGBW strips with 4 colors?
Yes, SK6812 and SK6812-RGBW are protocols compatible with SP901E, both for the single-wire variant and the data and clock variants.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
