How it works and how to install it
The ammeter is installed by inserting it into the Ø22mm hole in the electrical panel, then securing it with the included nut. The current transformer (included in the package) is mounted on the wire that supplies the load — the wire passes through the transformer's ring before reaching the consumer. The red and blue wires of the ammeter connect to the 220V AC power supply, and the transformer sends the measurement signal to the display. The green LED display instantly shows the consumed current value, with no calibration required.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to disconnect the power to install the ammeter?
Yes, always disconnect the power before any intervention in the electrical panel. Installation is quick after mounting the transformer on the load wire and connecting the power cables.
Can I measure the consumption of an appliance operating at a normal 230V?
Yes, the ammeter works perfectly in standard 220-230V AC networks. Make sure the load is on to get displayed values — without consumption, the screen will show 0A.
Is the display visible in bright light conditions?
The green LED provides good contrast even in bright light, and the 7-segment digits are clear and legible from in front of the panel.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
