How it works and how to install it
The integrated PIR sensor detects heat variations emitted by people moving in front of the device, automatically triggering the chosen sound signal. Installation involves fixing the detachable mount to the wall or door frame with the included screws, inserting batteries or connecting a DC 4.5V adapter (batteries and adapter are not included), and selecting the desired mode via the side switch. No additional cables or advanced technical knowledge are required.

Can I turn off the sound without removing the batteries?
Yes, the device has a three-position switch: Welcome (voice message), OFF, and Music (melody), so you can quickly deactivate the alarm without disassembling it.
Does it also work outdoors, at the courtyard entrance?
The device is designed for use in covered or semi-covered areas; direct exposure to rain is not recommended as it does not have water protection certification.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
