How it works and how to install
The adapter has two opposing female RJ45 ports, internally connected by 8 metal contacts in an 8p-8c configuration. Insert the RJ45 plug of the first cable into one end, and the plug of the second cable into the other end — the connection is established instantly without any tools. It does not require software configuration and does not affect the speed or quality of the network signal.

Does it also work with shielded FTP cables, not just UTP?
Yes, the adapter is compatible with both UTP and FTP cables, regardless of their category (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a).
Is there a loss of network speed if I use this adapter?
No, as long as the cable plugs are correctly crimped and fully inserted into the adapter, the speed and signal are not affected.
Can I use this adapter outdoors or in damp areas?
The adapter is intended for indoor use. It does not have moisture or dust protection, so it is not recommended for outdoor installation without an additional protective casing.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
